The Grand Egyptian Museum is opening, slowly, section by section, and now the Grand Staircase is open for visitors.
Cairo's new museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), is hopefully having its grand opening sometime in 2024 (still unconfirmed), on the edge of Cairo. Visitors can buy tickets to the GEM to see the Great Hall, the Glass Court, the retail area, gardens, obelisk square, the Grand Staircase, the Tutankhamun Immersive Experience, shop at numerous stores, and eat at one of the many restaurants inside Egypt's largest museum.
